This is a test.
You have been Glori-fied!
This is a test.
This morning just as a precursor to Valentine’s Day I made heart shaped bacon for my honey. And, he noticed!
It was very easy. Just cut your bacon in half. Then lay the 2 pieces in the shape of a heart. Cook as desired. I laid my bacon on paper towels and then covered it with paper towels and microwaved the hearts for 5-6 minutes. They were so cute!
I hope that your valentine’s day is as sweet as you are. And, I also want you to remember that you are the apple of God’s eye and Jesus’ beloved. You are His sweetest Valentine!
I’d like to wish everyone Happy Valentine’s Day, but I’d also like to challenge you.
Why do we set just one day a year aside to show our love? Instead let’s do something special each week to show those close to us how much they mean to us.
Pull out the fine china, put the best sheets on the bed, cook their favorite meal or dessert, go for a walk together, spend time listening, use the guest towels, attend to their needs first, and the list goes on.
So next February 14th, your loved ones will say, “Today is no big deal because we show our love everyday!”
I first heard this poem by Elle Wheeler Wilcox some 22 years ago, but just ran across it again this morning. Tis so true that our attitude truly determines our outcome in life. Being close to 50 years old, I have realized that I do not smile nor laugh enough. I’m a happy person, but my face doesn’t seem to show it to those around me. But more on that in another post.
Today just enjoy these words of wisdom…
But to every mind there openeth,
A way, and way, and away,
A high soul climbs the highway,
And the low soul gropes the low,
And in between on the misty flats,
The rest drift to and fro.
But to every man there openeth,
A high way and a low,
And every mind decideth,
The way his soul shall go.
One ship sails East,
And another West,
By the self-same winds that blow,
‘Tis the set of the sails
And not the gales,
That tells the way we go.
Like the winds of the sea
Are the waves of time,
As we journey along through life,
‘Tis the set of the soul,
That determines the goal,
And not the calm or the strife.
